Through the generosity of Aveda's customers, and the efforts of Aveda's network of salons, stores, and spas around the world, over $700,000 was raised for the Global Earth Month Partnership in 2007. These funds are being used to support projects securing clean, safe water for communities in the countries in which Aveda does business around the world.
In 2007 Aveda joined with Global Greengrants Fund as the Global Earth Month Partner to provide grants for water projects outside the United States. Greengrants is an international organization that has 15 years of experience funding communitybased environmental projects in more than 80 countries. With a small central office in Boulder, Colorado, and more than 125 volunteer project advisors mentoring and monitoring community groups around the world, Greengrants is the ideal partner to promote Aveda's global approach to environmental sustainability and care for the planet and those who inhabit it.
